First, The Good:
The packaging and presentation of this set are top notch. The individual dinozords are beautifully painted and feature better articulation than standard super sentai releases. The sword accessory in particular is gorgeous in its silvery chrome.
When combined, the Megazord looks awesome and has a few features that make it very poseable.
The Bad:
For as nice as the set looks, there’s a severe issue with my copy of the figure—the leg joints on the T-Rex zord.
There are some secondary thigh joints that are supposed to move that seem to be fused solid on my figure. This makes it extremely difficult to pull out the pegs for combination unless I use a tool.
However, the fusing of these secondary thigh joints seems to be a blessing in disguise, as it helps to keep the Megazord’s knees from buckling in unexpected ways.
Is it worth it?
Personally, I think this is going to be one of the best values for the money you’re going to get for the classic Power Rangers Megazord. There are sets out there that are much more affordable (but don’t look nearly as nice) and sets that outperform this one, but would cost an arm and a leg.
