I've never purchased an XToys product before, but this upgrade was perfect. Well packed in dense custom cut foam in a simple white box w company / product logo on top. Plastic is superbly painted and feels good.
Just make sure to ever so slightly rotate the top arm pieces in Megs rear arm screw hole. Just to line up the plate and avoid unwanted stress on the thin articulated connectors.
Well made product. I'll look into more from this company should we need more upgrades to our sub par Hasbro figures...

I only wish it came with a gun upgrade other than that, it's pretty good. It does make my figure a tad too tall, but still worth it's price and does a great job.

Hasbro/Takara's most recent Megatron was desperately in need of additional parts. Does this kit fix it? Well yes and no.
The robot mode benefits the most from this upgrade kit. The shoulder covers help to hide the unsightly red shoulder joints (though this illusion falls apart when the arms are lifted up) and the new legs, huge as they are, greatly improve the lower body, especially thanks to the tight ankle rockers, allowing CW/UW Megatron to strike the poses you want.
There are some issues however. The back-mounted cannon might help to create a G1 image, but impedes the shoulder articulation overall, to the point it's best left off altogether. The new legs are also hampered by the fact CW/UW Megatron's knees have incredibly limited range, though they're still much better now than they were before. Megatron's Fusion Cannon also has trouble at certain angles thanks to the new shoulder parts. A new cannon muzzle similar to DX9's kit would have been a great deal more helpful than the silver cannon mouth as well.
Lastly, as far as the alt mode is concerned, while the robot mode benefits from the kit, the tank mode not so much. The new parts feel very tacked onto the tank and don't clean up very well, although the new "turret mode" made possible by the kit honestly feels like a much better alt mode than the tank, though it is a bit difficult to transform.
Issues aside, it still makes a great toy out of a considerably mediocre one, would highly recommend.
