I got my first Optimus Prime for Christmas in ’84, and I’ve always has a soft spot for the toy. This reimagining of Prime is AWESOME! The extra articulation is wonderful, and the new range of posability is wonderful—I would have lost my mind as a kid if G1 Prime could have done all the things this one can do! I love that the fists are permanently attached. The only gripe I have is that Roller no longer has his launcher. But that’s a very minor complaint. I DO like that this Roller has a flip up light on its rear, a great little homage to the “More Than Meets the Eyes” episode. If you liked G1 Prime as a kid, this is a must buy.

I had Optimus as a kid. I had one of the early releases...but I played with him way too much and he didn't survive. Almost 40 years later I decided to get him. While I hate the insignia rub stickers (always have) at least Optimus' is hidden in robot form. Still remembered how easy he was to transform and the joints are all pretty solid on my copy. Stickers tho...Well..I hate stickers. But they went on easy enough, but it's way harder 40 years later and with worse eyesight.

My Vintage G1 Optimus Prime arrived in the mail at a good time. When I open the box, I was slightly disappointed that it didn't come into the box it was advertised, but it did come with everything except having two right hands. This doesn't hinder my enjoyment of the sight, but I am hoping in the future this doesn't happen again.
