He's got problems, yes. But for me, every single one of them is forgivable, in exchange for the sheer joy I feel when I look over and see him on the shelf.

The cab is hollow and sags down on its weak hinge, a lot of the tabs are painfully hard to force in until you've been through the transformation several times, and that waist assembly makes me TERRIFIED of breaking it. Yet overall, the transformation is a lot of fun and makes me feel like a little kid playing with a great big chunky action figure. When he's in carrier mode, MP cars don't exactly fit in him with the greatest of ease, but he looks magnificent by himself. The colors are exactly what I wanted. And he's awesome in robot mode. A towering, well-proportioned colossus. His gun is nearly as long as a Deluxe figure is tall.

I'd initially planned to get either MP Ultra Magnus or Dai Stack, but I'm so glad I bought them both. Having them posed together, the effect is spectacular. The reds and blues are kind of mirrored, and it's a great contrast between the modern flawless cartoon-emulation, and good old fashioned blocky toy aesthetic.
