just wow, the figure has so much more presence with this set, i would buy it again if i owned another rts optimus, but hey thats just me....

just got this in the mail today. after opening the beautiful display box i wasted little time adding it to my RTS prime. swapping out the necessary parts was pretty simple (though definitely take caution with the head.....DEFINITELY) once that was done and all the extra pieces were added, i was presented with the G2 prime i'd wanted for so long :) i wouldn't say the high price tag is entirely justified, but once you see this set on your prime, it's tough not to love it. Even in alt mode it adds much needed bulk to the figure and makes it look like Optimus should. all-in-all, a terriffic add-on that makes a so-so figure into a prime ;)

I've only had this set in my hands for a few hours so far, but have been able to transform him back & forth between the different modes quite a few times already!

Make Toys has blown me away with their first release, adding some much needed love to what otherwise was a lack-luster G2 homage! Not only does this set add a great tanker trailer to an otherwise trailer-less Optimus, but it adds some bulk to the robot mode as well!

Solidly put together, the robot mode is where the set deserves the praise it has received... While it may have been nice to get the illuminated sword blade in clear (to match that of the original G2 Prime's), the red blade (& hilt) look great with the light on *or* off!

All-in-all, I am obviously thrilled with the piece! The *ONLY* drawback that most may find daunting is the replaement of the original figure's head... While I've got a little bit of experience with modifying/customizing Transformers, I was a little nervous when I went to put the new head on the RTS Prime body... Take it easy, follow the directions, & DON'T FORCE IT! I didn't find it very difficult, as it went on pretty easily; but your mileage may vary... You could snap the balljoint's peg if you're not careful!

However, after the new head was installed; I was not only thrilled with my 'new' figure -but I felt a sense of accomplishment with the piece, as *I* had a hand in making it 'bigger & better'!

So, make no mistake; if you have an RTS Prime you *NEED* this set! :)
