MakeToys' Skyclone (Hotlink) (EX Version) is truly fire!
The color scheme (especially the deep-purple and white contrast) looks breathtaking in-person!
Please note that this iteration of MakeToys Hotlink includes the underside wing fillers, three (3) additional light-gray faces, semi-translucent stand, (a second (2nd), goofy large head), and pink blast effects.
Further, my version had nice-and-tight joints (absolutely no mold degradation), and everything pegged in perfectly (I still loathe the butt-flap though).
This fiery, 3rd-Party seeker will make a sizzling addition to any Transformers collection in either mode!

Loved the toy! This was my second of a seeker mold from MakeToys, however, there were a few minor complaints:
1. It came with a different set of hands than what was in the images, not a huge deal breaker.
2. The hands that did come with it had lost some of their finger tips and when I opened the clam shell some immediately fell out and had to search my floors for them.
3. My copy came completely missing some of those finger tips.
4. When transforming the toy into jet mode, moving the hands into place was a bit scary, I thought I was gonna break them or the arms they folded into.
1.loved the color, I could be wrong on this but I was thinking they used this color pallet for the background seekers from the first three episodes of the 80's cartoon so it was a must buy for me.
2. The included stand was a nice touch. The fact you can store some of the extra included faceplates makes storing it easy.
Overall a good toy, I would exercise caution with opening the clam shell just to make sure no fingers get dropped if they come loose during transit.

I will do the negatives first to get them out of the way:
The hands are terrible.I'm sorry. They are just really bad. Great idea and it is appreciated but the fingers fall apart if you look at them wrong and definitely pop off in transformation. Thus far I have spent a lot of time on my hands and knees digging in my carpet for missing digits and fingertips that fell off. That includes digging through the dust cup on my vacuum cleaner to find a missing pinky tip. Also it appears the new KFC style hands are a single mold with the thumb positioned on opposite sides for each hand. Great cost saving idea. The problem is that the slot for the mushroom peg is not centered properly so the left hand transforms properly (palm up) but the right hand needs to transform palm down. This unfortunately leads to fingers popping off every time I transform it. Thankfully I had the spare black hands from my Skycrow figure and put those on him so I won't lose any more fingers. So far I have managed to find every finger I have lost. In any future releases it would be greatly appreciated if they included a pair of original hands.
Next, a few loose joints on the knees and pelvis and the codpiece slider is very loose. No biggie.
Finally, the left hip skirt piece popped out on mine. Easy fix with some glue. It just looked like there wasn't quite enough glue used during assembly.
Next the positives:
The flight stand is amazing and very much appreciated. I love how simple it is but also very effective and useful for both modes. The storage is great. Good quality plastic. Very sturdy and well placed ratchets. It looks nice too without taking attention away from the figure. Excellent job.
The colors are gorgeous. Very nice pearl white and the purple is super cool. I also really appreciated that the charcoal grey accents on the leg match the grey plastic used on the knee joint. So that way if you display with knees bent the breakup in color actually makes sense. Nice touch.
I Love the pink blast effects.
The rear fins in jet mode are very stable. Not floppy at all.
Finally, the new head is a nice addition for those who want to display them in a more G1 toon aesthetic. Personally I have always liked the original head for this model but it is a very nice and appreciated option. Getting 5 swappable faces that work with both heads is also great.
