Magic Square has increased the engineering from Peach/Ninja but it’s not entirely good. Truck Boy can be difficult to transform with tabs not always lining up. As is with smaller figures, use extra care not to damage your connection points.
Robot mode is an absolute joy. The chibi asthetic works so well. His alt mode is just ok. It’s a solid attempt to make the truck chibi also, but it doesn’t feel solid enough. It’s obvious that certain sacrifices had to be made to keep the robot mode accurate. The instructions are too small for all the steps that need to be completed.
His little chubby gun looks like it shoots mini marshmallows! It also transforms or something, though it’s not covered in the instructions nor is there any obvious reason for it to change.
Do I love it? Yes. Does it annoy me for minor reasons? Again, yes. Worth the purchase for sure.
