As an initial matter, this is a sold figure and generally of the quality I have come to expect from Newage, but there are a few points it may be helpful to be aware of.

First, the ladder assembly does clean up fairly well in bot mode but it does wind up inhibiting the waist rotation a bit, but it is a small sacrifice to avoid having a ladder hanging off his back. I'd guess you have about 30 degrees of rotation in either direction in bot mode.

Second, there's no notch to use in order to unfold the uppermost section of the ladder which is a bit of an oversight. It still folds and unfolds fine, but the hinge on mine is tight enough to require the use of a tool to get the unfolding started.

Lastly, a word of warning if you tend not to bother with manuals: very close to the front wheel on either side there is a pin and a part with a beveled edge that very much looks like it is supposed to function as a hinge - IT IS NOT.

That pin is ONLY there to facilitate the ASSEMBLY of the figure and has nothing to do with transformation. Trying to fold that "joint" will result in breakage.

Fortunately in my case it resulted in a pretty clean break that I seem to have been able to mend pretty easily and happily the damage is not visible in either mode. It would be nice if Newage would not bevel the edge of the part that the pin is pinning into place, as it only makes it look that much more "hingey."
