I was really excited for this figure. In person though there is something lacking. I took some photos and I’m looking forward to taking more with some different lighting for sure, but being a clear color scheme he just looks weird. The black in the pictures does not show up well in person. His articulation and transformation doesn’t seem to be thought out as much as other Newage offerings. His legs have to be in a modified A stance because his spoiler just won’t get out of the way. The outer part of his shins just kind of float there without becoming flush with the rest of his leg. In alt mode one side of his car body is warped and does sit flush. It also seems to have warped the paint and doesn’t line up the pin-striping and lettering. This I thought was a defect but I saw it in other product photos on other colors schemes as well. I do like some of the engineering but the figure just doesn’t seem like it was finished. The car mode looks good, but I wish the colors were a little more pronounced especially the tires which are clear instead of translucent black for some reason. The box pays homage to the art from either the side of the coin op machine or the Atari game box art for Pole Position the arcade game. I thought that was cool.
