I wanted a Jazz bad but didn't care for how the other brands looked and I found the prices too high. I love FT so when I saw this on preorder I grabbed it quick.

First thing that disappointed was the lack of size (not height but mass). FT Skullcruncher is on the shorter side but at least has sizable limbs, unlock this bot. Although I noticed this on the previews I decided to go with it anyway being a FT fan.

Then it arrived and I tried to transform it. This was a big upset. I previously said FT Motormaster and Takara Megatron took the top 2 spots for transformation difficulty, but this took its place. To make matters worse the material was somewhat flimsy and I was almost certain I would break something, fortunately that didn't happen.

I understand some folks enjoy more complicated transformations. I assume those are the same people who may enjoy putting together models. But after buying a few MMC figures and experiencing that engineering, I prefer simple.

That being said this was too much, even with watching the videos. FT Silverbolt and Cyclonus are on the complicated side to transform but more manageable. FT Trailbreaker was surprisingly simple and FT Mirage was even easier. Not sure what happened here.

Good things for me were the paint and head sculpt which stood out far above the other Jazz figures. Still love FT.

Very solid bot, looks even better in person. Alt-more is perfect and this is the best Jazz to date. Heftier than you’d think for a smaller figure. Fan toys with yet another win.
