X-Transbots Master Mini line features highly articulated Masterpiece scaled minibot figures that pay homage to their G1 origins. Each figure features high grade ABS, as well as die-cast parts and rubber tires if there are wheels on the figure.
X-transbots figure lines feature modern manufacturing process that makes their figures affordable while maintaining high quality and solid construction. Built from a combination of ABS plastic, nylon and rubber for the tires, most figures also contain some type of diecast parts and feature clear windows for their alternate modes. Updated G1 color schemes and great articulation/ratcheting of joints make these figures visually spectacular.

4 out of 5 stars overall

This purchase came down to a comparison of price vs previous research of this model. I'm sure FT will eventually do a Tailgate and I'm sure it will be better engineered than the XT Hatch, but for the price that TFS had it at I pulled the trigger anyways. It is not a bad figure by any means, but the transformation to robot mode is a BEAR to say the least and there was some paint chips as a result of the transformation. Many times I thought something was going to snap off, but it did stay together during the transformation. I'm also not a fan of the heel spurs so I tucked them back into the foot and he stands so-so without them. The model alone I'd probably give 3.5 stars, but the price I'd give it a 4.
