Hello this is a review for the figure while it looks good I just got it and just that there are issues with it like the fingers break easily and the ratchets can stop working on the arms.

Would i recommend it maybe if it's on sale maybe just be careful entirely with the issues with the figure that is all

The good: It's a very nice sculpt and reproduction of the original figure's design. The larger ratchet joints are nice. There are a few pieces of diecast, though it's questionable as to what value they provide.

The bad: The plastic is poor quality. The obvious problem is the fingers, which just crumbled out of the box. The handles on the canons don't stay in place because the canon's plastic is so flexible. Putting on the backpack requires a prayer as the shoulder straps don't move out of the way, so you have to stress the fragile plastic to get everything to fit.

This figure was a big disappointment.

After growing up on Cybertron as a kid, when I first heard about this toy being made I knew I had to get it when it came out.

After my package arrived today and unboxed it, I found that the fingers disintegrated within seconds. The joints are pretty good and the build quality of the rest of the toy is good, it's just a shame that the failing point of this toy is the fingers. This shouldn't be happening on a $190 toy. I can only hope I can get replacement hands or something to solve my issue.

TLDR: Wait until news about improvements to this toy comes out (if any news ever does)

I was super excited for this figure for over a year, couldn’t wait to add a new Optimus to the collection.
Opening it up it really is an amazing take on the original TF Cybertron figure, super nostalgic and gives Prime a good deal of poseability.
However the biggest issue with this figure are the ball joint fingers. Not that they pop off at the ball joint, the hinges for his fingers are already broken when I took him out of the box. My copy only has 3-4 fingers for each hand. It doesn’t compromise on holding his blasters or his “Conbination Mode”, but it’s cheap and unfortunate. Another thing is his side horns on his head, I just wish that they didn’t go past a 90 degree hinge so that it would stop perpendicular to his head when opened.
If you can look past broken hands and not get too annoyed with the head being on a swivel while also being a hinge joint that allows him to twist his face to switch between his battlemask, then by all means getchu some Prime time.

I love the look of this 'bot, and being a Cybertron fangirl I've been watching this bot since the prototype phase. The joints are solid, the figures poses amazingly, and the Cyber Planet Key is an awesome touch, even if it can't interact with this figure all that much.
HOWEVER:
The fingers on this figure are absolute garbage. I had one broken straight out of the box, with several more shattering at the first knuckle from even the slightest touch. If a company creates an upgrade kit to give stronger hands to this bot, it would be amazing, but for now - unless you like your Primes handless, I can't recommend this bot in good conscience. And that's coming from a Cybertron fanatic.

Just arrived today, June 26th 2023. Got him into bot mode and started messing with the hands to hold his gun. Four finger joints already broke with barely any effort on my part. I carefully moved a finger and the plastic just came apart almost like the dreaded GPS of old. Hopefully this company fixes this issue and re-releases the figure or someone makes an upgrade kit with hands made from a stronger plastic.

Overall the figure is absolutely gorgeous and a great display piece. Nothing wrong with the joints yet. The main problem is with the fingers, they broke almost immediately the moment I got it out of the box but the thumbs are fine. So if you want to buy this figure then be prepared to never touch the fingers ever again. Also the backpack is terrifying to attach.

This is my second copy of this figure that I had on pre-order for a long time but this figure has some major qc issue that seriously need to be fixed like the very brittle fingers and the replacement fingers are not any better, the diecast is very unevenly placed on the figure and the arms are very loose and the knees are super loose aswell but overall the figure is nice but needed more time to fix the qc issue before it's released hopefully the second batch if there's one gonna be better

T&R Commander of Stars, despite it being the hyped up Masterpiece Cybertron Optimus Prime we all wanted, HAS SOME MAJOR QUALITY CONTROL ISSUES THAT NEED TO BE ADDRESSED!!!

Two of the majorly reported ones being...

*The poseable fingers disintegrate right out of the box, and the replacement fingers (despite them using a little bit stronger plastic) still fall apart.

*The ratchet joints in the shoulders fail almost immediately. You can repair them, but that requires you to basically re-engineer the entire joint itself.

There are other issues with the toy, including uneven distribution of Die-cast, loose joints, and plastic stressing (although, this last one is more of a human error. Instructions unclear, am I right?), but I just wanted to bring up the two that have been reported by many toy reviewers so far...

I would advise giving Transform and Rollout time to fix the QC issues and roll out a new production batch of this figure (if they will) before spending your money.
