I love both his modes, but the transformation is a pain. I like all the die cast very weighty and clean when done right, he will be staying in bot mode for my collection

This is the MP we've been waiting for. The detail is crazy good. The quality is second to none! Great balance too. If you're looking for an MP interpretation of Jazz, this is THE one! Coolsville is the place to be! Bravo to ToyWorld for hitting a grand slam with this one!

First off I think ToyWorld did a remarkable job with there interpretation of Jazz.... The detail alone on the guy really speaks volumes, and the alt mode was the best out of all 3... I know there's been a lot of complaints about possibility in bot mode, but at least non of his parts are falling off like some other brands are and for the price he's going at seriously how could you argue... I mean seriously if you want a G1 accurate version this is truly it cause from what i've seen and heard Hasbro and Takara won't be making this one anytime soon because of licensing issues so stop complaining and enjoy the product...

Title sums it up. I also had difficulty transforming him into car mode, until I sat down with the instructions with a magnifying glass and did everything _exactly
exactly exactly_ step by step. There's also a little trick with the door tabbing, a hidden slot on the door that the grey chest section tabs into when you pinch the roof and the bottom of the car together. But yeah, best Jazz alt-mode so far, good enough robot mode. Definitely a keeper.

I'm sorry, I do not like to negatively review toys that have had lots of work put into them, but as excited as I was to get a Jazz figure to add to my collection, I was immediately let down when I pulled him out of the box and screws fell out of his legs and back. I've managed to replace them but they're constantly loose and don't stay in place.

I chose this figure for my masterpiece jazz as i felt he captured the g1 characture the best out of all the current offerings. The paint and detailing are stunning and almost the entire shell of the car is die-cast.
I am disappointed however. I display my car bots in vehicle mode and I was disappointed that Coolsville does not transform properly. Others have noted the doors or windows not aligning or tabbing in. This was not the case on my figure. My issue was the roof would not collapse all the way. After retransforming him and fiddling with it for over an hour I deduced that there was not enough internal clearance to accommodate the head in vehicle mode.
I transformed back to bot mode and removed his head via the screw on the back. Then, for the forth time reverted to vehicle mode. This time every thing aligned and the roof collapsed and tabbed in perfectly.
This would be a near perfect figure otherwise, but I have deducted 2 stars for what is a very obvious design flaw.
Coolsville isn't so cool when he can't transform properly, he must feel like Bumblebee did when he lost his transformation cog.

Got him yesterday. Looks great in robot mode, good likeness of jazz. But disappointed when trying to put in car mode. Doors do not line up with body, tabs are too big and rear window section does not line up with rear fender wells. If not for that, would've been 5 stars

I was torn on which Jazz to add to my Masterpiece collection. The 2 main contenders were the Generation Toy MT-04 J4zz and the Make toys MRTM-09 Downbeat. I think Downbeat was more G1 accurate, although the gold rims were not...while the GT Jazz was a fresher, edgy look delivering a pleasingly good look for jazz. However, the G1 Fan in me wanted a little of both in my Jazz.
Enter Toyworld Jazz. The lowest priced of the 3...offers a G1 Asthetic, with newer engineering, built solid, and standing taller then previous renditions. The robot mode is a truly solid G1 rendition. The face sculpt is good, not quite accurate, but it works. Everything else is perfect, and works. The Car mode is probably the best so far. G1 Accurate, and sharp as heck. Looks a lot like the Make Toys version, but with more accurate rims and details. The only gripe would be that the rear spoiler does not tab in. The speaker assessories feel like a last minute add on, as they do not clip onto the car mode securely. They are ok for display, but don't stay on very well...and tend to slide off.
