I bought this from TF Source a while back when it first went on sale. If you're a Voltron fan and Voltron toy enthusiast, this is a great figure to own and a must for your Voltron collection. Right now it's on sale, too. I own the Lego Votron, reissue Bandai SOC, and just scooped up the Blitzway Voltron. This Ultimate EX version is the biggest of them all in combined mode. It's huge, clunky, a bit too stylish and cartoonish but I still love it. I had it in combined mode for a while but just recently took it apart and put them in lion mode for display. As individual lions they are huge and great display pieces. This is worth the sale price. It often gets criticized for being too big, difficult to pose, lacking articulation and having too much plastic. But Toynami was going for the huge size here. I honestly like the piece and don't regret the purchase.

This figure is decent. It's got a few flaws, which I'll go over now.
The biggest issue with it is the articulation. The Voltron head won't turn that well because of the way the neck is constructed. There's a piece behind the ball peg that will force the head to angle up as it turns. The ankle/feet joints also have virtually no movement to them, making posing options in the legs somewhat limited. But, otherwise, the articulation is decent. It would be nice if the hip joints were ratcheted, but they're not.
Other than that, this figure is really nice. The individual lions look good and the Voltron looks great. It's a bit stylized, so it doesn't exactly match the original Golion design, but it's more like someone's idealized design for Voltron. Also, the product information listed on this page is incorrect about the height. I measured with the legs as straight as I could make them and it's 17 inches tall at the head and 18 at the wing tips. Even the box says 18 inches, so I don't know where this site and others got 16 inches from. But, it's bigger than that. For reference, about the same height as Combiner Wars Devastator. The plastic feels pretty sturdy and heavy and the metallic paint is nice.
So, all said and done, this is a nice set. I got it on sale, which was great. I was hesitant to buy it for $400 with all of the similarly priced options out there, but it was a deal on sale. So, I'd suggest anyone considering this set grab it on sale for sure.
