Finally got him to complete my Poseidon set. A bit crazy to transform due to all the extra limbs but once you get the gist of the transformation they're not a bother. Mines came with a missing piece but thanks to TFsource support i got a replacement.

It seems TFC saved the strangest member for last. I don't blame them, but this figure is definitely in the better half of the figures for this team for me thus far. Comes packaged in robot mode unlike the first half of Poseidon releases. Loving the paint application and the general colors on this figure. Face has a sneer and is stereotypically masculine (perhaps they will remold the face if they rerelease these figures as the BWII Space pirate Seacons?)
The figure appears to have great quality control with tight joints everywhere
Transformation to squid mode is challenging but not frustrating. The effect of the squid monster with little boot-looking feet is somewhat comical but is a great tribute to the original tentakil figure. The combination of the spreading tentacles and large face makes him seem HUGE. (so much so that my wife assumed he was the leader of the team).
The squid face, like the robot face, has a sneer, so the mouth appears slightly asymmetrical. I love the adjustable mouth so you can have him roaring or just snarling..
The tentacles need to be attached, and the instructions and box art are inconsistent as to where the two tentacles with the extra blade are supposed to go. You make the call, I suppose!
I have not tried the enhancement pieces yet as I refuse to form Poseidon until I receive my copy of Deathclaw, but they are fun to just mess around with; typical clever engineering.
Overall, very pleased this detailed and thoughtful tribute to a transformer with one of the with more bizarre alt modes in the transformer universe.
