I don't generally go into G1 reissues in any way, shape or form. Recently I got a lot of Golden Lagoon style bots, and since I already love Linkin Park's body of work, this has always had a strong pull for a potential purchase. I finally snapped it up in place of a similarly priced Titans Return Golden Lagoon Soundwave (which is a trash toy); however, the gold used in the chrome and the plastic is distinctly lighter than the rest of the Golden Lagoon lineup.

The character is in pretty good shape - some metal parts forming the internals were inexplicably worn down already, and the gold chrome paint on the buttons has some fading on the corners (maybe the box has just traveled with the bot inside too much). I love the original cassettes, and love displaying them all together. If I sell of most of my collection in future years, I know this is one I will keep around as a very beautiful and worthy memento. It hits all the notes (pun intended).
