17 Cassette Set Vol 2 is part of Takara Tomy's Transformers Encore series which features reissues of original Transformers G1 Generation one toys made back in the 80's.  These reissues of the original robots in disguise feature the original toys in retro Japanese G1 style Takara Transformers packaging.

 

Transformers Encore is a series of primarily Transformers G1 reissue figures from Takara Tomy that began in 2007.   These encore reissue figures come in similar style packaging to their original G1 releases and the toys themselves are very similar to the G1 toys.   Recently Takara Tomy has also released several Encore series of toys that feature Beast Wars re-released and remastered figures in the Encore line.

I had the original Soundwave when I was a kid and he and Grimlock still remain my favorite Transformers. I was very happy to have him displayed on my shelf again and my four year old son loves him more than many of his own Transformers. When I saw this up for sale I had to jump on it due to the fact it had SteelJaw and RamHorn in it. I don't have blaster (or plan on adding him to my collection) but I do remember playing with SlugFest as a kid and now I have added RatBat to my Soundwave re-issue. My son now can have the joy of his own cassettes too. It's amazing how I still remember how to transform all of the G1 series and how he can figure them out without me having to show him. Very happy with this purchase.
