One of the first e-hobby reissues, the Black Starscream was sold as a two pack with the Clear Ghost Reissue Starscream and was so popular it can be accredited with creating much of the initial interest in G1 toy repaints as well as subsequent black versions of other toys. Long ago out of print, it was rumored just 1500 pieces were made, but that detail has never been confirmed.
