Another Perfect Effect item has graced our presence and yes, I got it, This is the PC-03 Superion Upgrade set with the Head and Chestpiece. This does add some really needed detail to the Transformers Combiner Wars Superion Team. along with the PC-01 White feet and Hands set Superion will look great to display on any shelf, stand and desk with pride, or until something else comes out better looking. Get all the Perfect Effect upgrade kits here from TFSource, Why wouldn't you, your right here now reading this so go for it, just do not tell your wife/husband until the package comes in otherwise they may yell at you...kidding, any TF Collector should add these to a collection!

I have to admit, I wasn't expecting such a dramatic change. And the thing I can't get over is how the replacement head accommodates the original styling AND the new styling. Zero Compromise. It was the right price for the right amount of difference.

This upgrade kit is well worth the money, even though it doesn't come with as much as the menasor kit. The head sculpt and articulation are exactly what the figure needs. The chest plate is a little tricky to put in and is in need of a big autobot reprolable but otherwise beautiful. I highly recommend it for superion fans. My only afterthought for this set is that i wish it came with something for superions skinny thighs.

This set is very little, but really amazing! It made the set of combiners 995% better. It will be 1000 with the hands and feet kit! :-D

But I did the new head with its two faces is ok mine likes to pop off but the chest plate gives him this nice beefy look and holds together great.

First off, Perfect Effect's boxes are really nice.. I feel a need to point that out.. On to the good stuff.

HEAD: Installation is easy. (Photo instructions are included) Remove the screw from the original head, and carefully separate the front/back halves. The new head then securely slides onto the original peg with a satisfying click. The antenna fold back much like the original, and with the new head being slightly smaller, it transforms into Silverbolt's body smoother. (This head clicks in with no screw required, so you can actually remove it quickly making it easier to swap out the faces.) I have the Hasbro versions of these figures, so the gold paint apps no longer match the rest of the body like the original did. I thought this might bug me.. It doesn't. This looks so much better.. I can't stop looking at it.

BREASTPLATE: Awesome! Based on promo photos, you could see the original chest plates need to be half opened, so I was wondering how secure this would be. It's perfect. The way it clicks into place, holds everything tightly, and the dimensions were measured out flawlessly. It does a lot to fill out his torso, and give him a more chiseled look... Just a side note: With the transforming effort that went into PC-01, I'm a little surprised they didn't design a way to work this piece into Silverbolt's jet mode. Not a big deal, but perhaps worth mentioning for others. I'm cool with it. Left over pieces almost provides extra G1 nostalgia.. plus it isn't like this will ever see much time not in Superion mode :P

Over all, this kit is fantastic, and I couldn't be happier. Coupled with PC-01, these upgrades have drastically improved Superion's already great design. Perfect Effect has helped complete the Superion I've wanted for 30 years. Give them your money. They've earned it.
