I enjoy this figure for its price, quality, and transformation. My only complaint is articulation. There is no swivel in the arms or ankle tilt. It's finicky to pose but still a great buy for its price.

This is a really cool little figure. It feels nice and solid for the price and has some great accessories. Laserbeak even fits inside the chest slot. I'm already a big fan of the Hot Soldiers line and this one is probably the coolest of the initial offerings. A great legends class figure at a great price. Highly recommended.

I knew from the pics of this figure that it had potential, but until receiving it I wouldn't know how much. Every aspect of this small offering is fantastic. The plastic feels quality. The joints are just right, not too loose, not too tight. the paint is almost flawless.

From the second I removed him from the box I could see the G1 accuracy. I immediately started to transform him from 30+ year old muscle memory. All elements fit together very well as a cassette deck.

Of course, expect there to be a few small issues, but none affect the display or overall play value. Biceps swivels would be a great addition. A small stand or bar to allow the cassette in bird mode to stand on his shoulder or arm would be appreciated. Lastly, his should mic works itself off from the pressure of the peg being just a tad too big.

All in all, this is an amazing small scale, G1 accurate piece. I hope for more cassettes, and more characters soon!

I picked this up originally because of the price. If you're going to gamble on a new third party, $15 isn't bad at all.
For the price I got a lovely rendition of Soundwave who looks fantastic with my Iron Factory Legends and my DX9 Hulkie.
Outside of the simplicity of Laserbeak, my only complaint is a lack of an elbow swivel. Beyond that, he's got all the articulation I expect and he looks and feels good.
This is a solid toy, well worth your $15 investment. Grab one in blue or black!

Mech Planet really nailed this figure design-wise. Sized in the middleground between Legends and Deluxe scale, this Soundwave is possibly the closest thing to a downsized masterpiece-style Soundwave you'll ever find. the Sculpt is dead on, and barring the lack of a bicep/elbow swivel or ankle tilt/rocker, the articulation is quite impressive. Transformation is very easy and takes less than 20 seconds. Laserbeak is a tiny bit unimpressive with his reduced features and size, but at this scale it is forgivable. Definitely worth a purchse.
