This toy is FANTASTIC. The colour of the car is inaccurate, but they could not put the correct one because legally, Ford owns that colour. Also, there is a reviewer in here that said it was the wrong car but it is the correct one. The joints on this toy are solid and the painting is great and thick which means that it's hard to chip the paint on this toy. This toy is SO PERFECT and I highly recommend it, BUT online prices fluctuate all the time. If you can find this toy around $60-$100 that is a steal but anything higher than $120 is a bit too much. Overall Amazing!!!

Over all MPM-3 Bumblebee is good but as far as calling it a masterpiece that is a bit of a stretch. A Masterpiece should be the best and most accurate representation of a character and this version is defiantly flawed.
Let’s talk Alt mode. The painted details for the alt mode are a bit sloppy at times and feel incomplete when they paint single axis (door handles). The alt mode itself feels phoned in as it is the WRONG Car. This is supposed to be the movie 1 Bumblebee which was the 2007 concept Camaro. This figure is the 2010 Production Camaro which Bumblebee never was in any of the films. This may seem a bit nit-picky but the two cars DO look very different. Additionally, this figure is completely the wrong shade of yellow. Every version of movie Bumblebee was the metallic yellow orange of the original concept Camaro and every version of the movie Bumblebee toys (at least what I own which is a lot) that was based on his movie deco was a yellow orange plastic or paint to match the movie. This figure is the Chevrolet production signal flare yellow which is not only WRONG but obnoxiously bright and the paint is caked on way too thick. I understand that there are potential licensing issues but, seriously, to call this a masterpiece is a fraud based on these two points alone. The overall engineering is impressive but the tolerances are a bit lacking. Most panels in the alt mode do not tab in all that well and there are gaps as a result.
Ok, so let’s talk bot mode. Again, the engineering and transformation are impressive but the implementation could have been better. There are ratchet joints where they could have had friction joints and there are friction joints at critical locations where they should have had ratchets. What ratchets are there should have had more detents. I give them credit for the articulated hands but the thumb really needs a pivot verses sticking out at 90 degrees. The battle mask looks out of place when up and gappy at best when deployed. This gimmick was implemented much better on the human alliance BB and the deluxe battle blades BB. The blaster is just a travesty. The folding gimmick to hide it in alt mode works fair enough but the tolerances when deployed are horrible and it just doesn’t close. MPM-4 made no attempts to hide the accessories in the alt mode and that’s what they should have done here. The biggest problem is that the bot is terribly back heavy. While he has some ridiculously long heal spurs, the joint is just too weak and does not tab in making him a nightmare to stand.
That said, as far as Bumblebees go, this is still one of the best. It just could be SO much better and as it is, doesn't deserve the title of a "Masterpiece". At the $100 price point, I feel that this figure is just not worth it. My advice, wait for this to be at the $60 mark.

Very cool transformation and best movie accurate to date. Scale is masterpiece and detail, paint, poseabilty makes him a mist have for masterpiece collectors.
Really he's the best by far. Oh he also has die cast.
Very happy with my purchase.

This is the greatest transformer figure ever made. The transformation process is very intuitive, and after a few tries you won't even need the manual. All parts lock into place properly in vehicle mode, and it even rolls effortlessly across flat surfaces.
The robot mode is a huge engineering achievement, with great visual proportions, balance, and all possible kibble is folded up inside Bumblebee's chest (out of sight).
Honestly, start giving this thing out as a gift. It's that damn good!
