I wasn’t a huge Trailbreaker fan but got him because I loved the classic G1 toons. This figure looks the best in vehicle mode of any of the other 3rd party ones. His robot mode is pretty good. TT nailed the toon accuracy. Some don’t like the belly, but that’s how he was. The most impressive part is his legs. They are by far the best looking and most intuitive transformation of any MP. Phenomenal engineering… at least on the legs.

Trailbreaker is one of my top ten (nastagia reasons, of course), so I ended up with all three of the top competitors (bad cube doesn't hit my radar).
Fantoys is an awfully high bar for even Takara to reach, but the price is right. 150 is "cheap" in terms of modern MPs.
Instead, it is only fair to put him up agaisnt 2nd place: xtransbots.
He is smaller than xtransbots, but much more aesethitically pleasing. MP 56 includes less accessories, but the accessories he does have is top quality.
Something BOTH fantoys and xtransbots failed at: his HANDS. Takara got his hands right!
Mp56 has a fairly simple transformation, which beats out BOTH XTRANSBOTS and fanstoy (xtransbots NEVER felt like it was assembled correctly. Always felt...wrong. fanstoys lost their way of transformation for a few years, and are just now finding their way back.
In both modes, he feels solid, and his backpack doesn't flip open like xtransbots.
It clicks where you should hear clicks and is tight in all the right places.
I didn't think I would like him as much as I do, but he has a place on my shelf and xtransbots is headed into his old packaging.

I'm very happy to received my Transformers Trailbreaker MP, the next step, is transforming him.
