4 out of 5 stars overall

This figure looks really cool and unique in bot mode, and posing it is fun like all of these are. Nice articulation.
The way he forms the motorcycle is interesting and must have taken some serious thinking to come up with, plus it looks great. The problem that keeps him from getting 5 stars is that transforming him feels more like work than fun. To go with that, his handlebars are fragile. I broke the handlebars posing the combined mode legs with barely any pressure. That would knock off another point for me, but Vulcan does come with much thicker and more sturdy replacement handlebars, so no huge deal there.

Vehicle Mode: Looks very close to a motorcycle with no real wasted space. Has a working kickstand.
Robot Mode: Kind of spindly but not terrible. Some components do give it a bit of bulk.
Combiner mode: Due to the spindly nature of the model, the combiner mode is just a glorified shin guard that supports no weight as is just a decoration.

If you get Vulcan he comes with a diecast handlebar replacement for this, just letting you know. That was my only complaint for this bot. Great Job Maketoys.

Good looking figure but need to rework some of the parts. It is a transformer so you will transform it couple times. It would be helpful to keep that in mind while developing the molding. During the first transformation I have broke one of the motorcycle handle, and the stand. There is a lot of pegging to do during the transformation. Some of the pegs are hard to get in so you will have to use a little force. That is the point you risking break some of the small parts. This is totally avoidable with better engineering. I have seen more durable and complex transformation. But this is nothing close to that. If you will just display it right out of box it looks good but it defeat the whole idea of transformers. Very disappointed at this figure.

This is the first Third-Party figure I have purchased and it definitely does not disappoint! Articulation has incredible range to which I can actually pose him seiza-style. Transformation, though some may argue is not fun, is plenty fun to me. A lot of engineering went into creating this figure and I'm most grateful for it. As of now, I have all of the Guardia series figures to date. I'm very happy that I chose this to be my first 3P purchase.
