I never would have bought him at base price, but I picked it up after seeing it on sale seemingly all the time. I'm so so glad I did, dude is huge. Oddly the official Generations Black Zarak next year is supposed to be 21 inches as opposed to this one who's only *reads description* 14 inches? Is that right? He's thicc! I think the temple and scorpion mode might make him feel longer than he is taller. That headmaster took me awhile to figure out how to place in his "crown" but a couple of videos helped. Overrall, I really like it, and I really appreciate how it has actual hands in the claws (they're removable) as opposed to being used to figures/characters with just "claw hands" all the time.

First I will agree on two points from other reviews. The legs do come off easily, and you do need a lot of space to display. I actually also like it's a different deco than the normal Scorponok color scheme. Overall he's pretty bulky and for the most part well built. I'm giving 5 stars b/c of the price I paid (black friday sale), else I'd give it 4 stars at full retail.

I purchased this item for Christmas and within hours of messing with it, one of the kneecap tabs broke off and a piston popped out from the leg as well. About a day later, one of the arm rachets just snapped off without warning. I have contacted TFsource about this issue but I have yet to get a response and had the issues just been in the legs, I would have given it 4 stars because it was still a very cool figure, but I am sorely disappointed and I will probably stop shopping at TFsource if they do not respond about a potential refund.

The title says it all. I bought this chonker with absolutely no regard to my display space. and while I don't regret it, my wife was midly annoyed. I absolutely love this figure. I had originally wanted to the the original color Pandinus, I "settled" on this once I could no longer find it. Turns out I didn't settle. The most black and gold pallet on the figure makes it feel like a regal tyrant as opposed to a muscley big boy. Like a dictator who rules over life and ewath with an iron fist. I also just so happen to have a soft spot for alternate color variations of figures, so it may just be me. While I do wish I had the rifle and decepticon-insignia stinger tail or the original, the MASSIVE spear more than makes up for it. and I do mean massive. It's decently poseable in relation to it's size and bulk, but even the most dynamic of poses are no match for this thing, as it's well balanced by design, hs INSANELY sturdy joints, and it's feet are bigger than my hand. If you can spare it, get it. 300 bucks ain't nothing to scoff at, but goddamn it are the conversations this thing sparks worth the price alone.

The figure looks amazing and feels good..But the scorpion legs pop out whenever you breathe on them. Ive contacted customer service and they said its a common issue. So be careful when you buy this, because it's an amazing price for a reason.

First of all, this thing is huge! No joke, an imposing figure. The plastic is what we come to expect from Maketoys, all the ratchets are hard enough to support the weight. Overall an amazing piece, worthy of any collection.

what a awesome figure, transformation is fun. couldn't believe the weight and bulk of this guy, it's 3rd party companies like maketoys that is really making me consider not collecting hasbro/takara figures anymore!!!! get one if you can

I tracked this way back when it was in development. Struggling between my other collection and the original Pandinus coloration I never committed to the purchase; the Devil Stinger black/orange sorta looked Halloween-ish to me. So ironically I end up agonizing over this thing for a long time.

Fast forward it's 2018 and this guy is on sale. Secondary market it's getting hard to find as well averaging around $500. And, I liked big bots so pulled the trigger. Suffice to say I'm very happy and the colors work so well in person. Pairing him with my other city bot, combiner bot, dino bot...yes I have a lot of bots and this guy continue to standout well. I would've paid full price knowing what I knew now.

Other thoughts, at this scale is where a lot of the 3rd party begin to show sign of fault. It's not a fault of QC but the design end up ...wonky sometime. And, it isn't just transformers. It's very hard to execute on 1/6 and 1/4 scale with an asking MSRP of $250+. In Devil Stinger's case, he's so big he wobble just a slight; seriously not a big deal and this is extreme nitpicking. Anyway, real nice figure all around. Highly comparable to my other Hot Toys, ThreeA/ThreeZero, NECA, Sideshow...etc.

what a good surprise... top quality, solid and great design. as good as pandinus even if i really prefer that black red and gold color. and the spear is much more fun than the gun.....)

a real centerpiece and a very uncommon and interesting design who will grow on u.
