Bought this guy a while back as a bookend to my MP UM. In robot mode, he looks stellar. His proportions are well-suited to making him look even bigger than he is. Just a great big tower of mightiness. But getting him there from carrier mode has its problems.
I do like the sheer size of this guys. It doesn't feel like I'm fiddling with an adult collectible; it feels like a big clunky TOY, and that's fun. But then there's parts like the terrifying waist, where both huge, weighty halves of the toy are held together by one thin hinge. Eek. Then there's trying to finagle all the parts of the legs past each other. Straining your arms to pull the thighs out. And the truck cab's so hollow and floppy it just feels tacked on. He's pleasantly solid once everything's tabbed in, but even then, a lot of the joints are either too loose or alarmingly tight. The plastic feels bendy but durable, but the sharp edges can make your fingertips sore.
Plus, just TRY to put more than one car inside him when he's a truck. :/
So yeah. Recommended if you want a good display robot. Somewhat less for carrier mode. And maybe nah if you like actually playing with your robots.
