The character is imposing and scales well with a more "combiner sized" character rather than a titan. As such, I wish they had skipped the base mode entirely, as there's little sense or use for it. The bot mode is as articulated as any IF, which means it's great but a little fiddly with all the ball joints. The little guns scare the dickens out of me. They tend to come unpegged and get caught in your grip when transforming and smushing the entire character into its "scorpion" shape. You can save yourself grief with almost any IF by removing the accessories during transformation. Overall it feels too fiddly and fragile to have too much fun with, but it makes for a great conversation desk bot.

He clocks in between a primes legends class and a siege voyager class, so a heads up if you want him side by side with a Hasbro release. I will state that though I wish he was a bit larger, you won’t find a cheaper Scorp out there that doesn’t absolutely destroy your wallet. Don’t get me wrong for what get the price is still a bit high but you definitely get a solid figure. No really, the joints on mine are tight but in a good way, so posing him around is always a blast, and trust me those joints give you some solid posing and I always find myself just playing with different ones when I’m in my office.
His transformation to scorpion is really basic and easy, it’s nothing great or new but then again neither was the G1 release.
Though the base mode is just ehh and with his small size alone it’s just like a fancy little lawn chair for your legends class or other prime masters to bum around on.
Oh did I mention how tiny his headmaster is? Like that thing is TINY, so try not to drop and lose it when you pop it off! Watch out for his shoulder and arm gun turrets too, the shoulder ones are on pretty good but the ones on the back of his legs have a tendency to come off if you push them on the right spot, they also seem like the wouldn’t be that hard to break if you apply too much pressure.
Overall he’s not that bad of a figure, also if you open up his chest you can pull up that goofy visor he had over his head like he’s been depicted before in the show and some of the comics.

While I WILL acknowledge the good points of this figure, it's stature is underwhelming. Sadly. the beautiful engineering & sculpting are overshadowed by the fact that it's BARELY Deluxe size... NOT the Voyager size initially reported. An otherwise slam dunk from Iron Factory... but too small for the scale it is touted to be

This figure hasn't been released as of this writing, but this is yet another Iron Factory figure that I will DEFINITELY be getting. Not only will it be Voyager-sized, but it'll be almost $100 cheaper than the War in Pocket not-Devastator AND a Headmaster....A FREAKING LEGENDS-SCALED HEADMASTER! I can't wait to grab this up
