For those of you that are tired of the exhaustingly high prices of third party figures, iGear's MW-02 Rager is a great relief. At a $19.95 price point, this little figure packs many fun hours of playtime. As a Mini-bot, Rager has a simple but convincing alt-mode, easy transformation, and lots of articulation in robot mode. It is a great homage to the original Huffer toy and looks great on any Classics, Universe, Generations shelf. The lack of instructions for transformation and weapon storage in alt-mode are only small, nagging dissappointments and should not sway anyone from purchasing this figure. The box and blister holder along with the tech-spec card complete the package nicely. Now just waiting for the next installments!

There are a number of features of the Rager character that I like. For one, the build quality is quite good. I was afraid the plastic might feel a bit cheap, but it's quite solid to hold and transform. The colors are great, and the articulation is very nice for such a small figure. There are some aspects I don't like as much. The first is that you can't move his head unless you have the smallest fingers in the world. Putting it on a ball joint was only really useful if you could realistically move it without tweezers or some other tool. The back wheels also don't spin well, even compared to the front wheels, which move freely. Also, even though it's a simple transformation, some instructions would have been nice. The pictures on the box don't make it quite clear enough that the shoulders pull out to rotate the arms around correctly. Finally, the hand weapons are small enough that I had hoped they could store somewhere in vehicle mode. If they can, I haven't worked out how yet. I'm afraid they'd be very easily lost if he was kept in vehicle mode for long. Overall, I'm happy with the figure, there are just some pieces that keep me from giving it more than four stars. A good addition to a G1 or Classics collector's shelf!
