One of the panels was already broken behind the lights of the headlights in alt-mode. Lucky the broken panels just supports the headlight inserts from behind, so super glue fixed that. What was bad is the leg transformation, you have to bend panels out of the way to get the feet out the legs, that is alot of torque on cheap plastic. One day the plastic will snap. So pick a mode and display.

I've been collecting this set from the beginning, so I knew what to expect when I purchased Balance. The process of transforming is not fun or intuitive but the payoff when you get him in his different modes are worth the effort so I highly recommend buying this figure.

The figure looks great in both modes, but the transformation is neither satisfying nor intuitive. It's moderately challenging, but not in a fun way. I will never go through the pain of returning it to vehicle mode. Perhaps origami fans will appreciate it, because it's basically a panel-former. If you like assembling cardboard boxes, you'll love this.
Put any pressure on it in vehicle mode, and you'll upset panel alignments. Try to pose it in robot mode, and it will come unpegged/untabbed somewhere, probably in multiple places. Nothing is dependably solid in either mode. Give it a gentle shake and parts flop around. Mine's left leg is a couple of mm shorter than the right due to manufacturing errors in the hip joint.
Definitely feeling buyer's remorse. I've bought and enjoyed bots from several 3rd-party brands, but this is my first from Generation Toy. It will likely be my last, based on Bulance.

First Aid is pretty high up on my favorite character list so I had to get him at some point. Settled on this guy after some thought. I really do like this figure, but the panels for the outer shell of the ambulance mode can be annoying to get situated and tabbed in properly. Not sure if it's a tolerance issue with the tabbing or something I was doing wrong with the transformation. I had to watch a video to go from ambulance to bot mode and will likely continue to have to watch a video whenever I transform him.
He's not as fiddly as Katana (Blades from this set), though, so he gets an extra star for that. If you've more patience than I do, or don't mind spending some extra time with transforming, he's a great figure to have around!
