It will take a miracle for another manufacturer to create an Astrotrain to top this. Somewhat complicated at first to transform, but this figure demands to be displayed in its different modes regularly, so I found it does get easier to transform after time. Couldn't recommend this enough.

This is a beautiful amazing figure.

Finally got he at a good price hated i missed out on the pre-order but what a great figure he is and i love it he's never going to be replaced so if you can get your hands on one while he's still in stock you won't regret it. Just wish fans toys would of put pins in where the screws are, still five stars.

This is my first Fanstoys Mp. There was a bit of a break-in period, but once I got him confgured and posed, Thomas elevates all the other decepticons around him. He looks fantastic, and I think its worth it to get him. I had good customer service too, so after a day of having the thomas, I'm happy to say I'm satisfied with this one.

Good transformer but the yellow window on train mode where other side is purple was cheap paint, the paint came off first transformation, had to repaint the window

Yes they use a screw in the chest plates instead of a pin but other than that BEST FIGURE FOR 2020. Its actually fun 2 transform and all 3 modes r beyond excellent. Takara should take a lesson on how 2 make a real masterpiece.

This figure has a lot of strengths, it looks great, it feels solid, at a glance there are no issues.

But unfortunately, below the surface there are real problems. The transformation scheme essentially guarantees paint damage at the crotch sooner or later. The tightness of the leg joints only make that fact all the more certain.

On top of that, the chest assembly uses screws instead of a rod for some unfathomable reason, meaning each time you slide it, it pulls on the screws and strips the slide mechanism. I've been careful but the screw on one side is still starting to get pulled out all the same.

This aside it's a great figure, but these issues aren't minor ones and should have been corrected long before production.

I hate to see the poor construction issues others have had, but mine was superb with no issues. I do know that Fans Toys used to send spare parts in case of any factory flaws. Maybe try to email TF Source or wherever you bought this figure to see about fixing it. Tiny screwdriver set, not included.

This figure is awesome but like others mine had a lubricant on it which damaged the paint which is also thin in some areas. I don't know if the covid situation caused this batch to not have the usual good QC but it's disappointing

Great figure. Unfortunately it has a misassembled left knee ratchet. Won't stand up straight. For what this figure costs, that is unacceptable. I'm surprised FT sent them out like that. Very unfortunate. It's a great figure too. Bummer. 4 stars.

Arrived technically sealed but the tape on the foam shell was so lose that all the accessories were jiggling about and scratching up the paint. The right knee has the wrong ratchet parts and the leg cannot straighten out enough to stand or transform. I have nearly every FT release and I've never had something thrown together this haphazardly. Since this figure is sold out literally everywhere reputable and there is no indication of a reissue, I am faced with returning as defective and maybe never getting a replacement or going through the long and possibly hopeless process of requesting replacement parts.

An incredible figure, transformations are fun, paint quality, and colors are spot on, easily in my top 5 favorites out of all my masterpieces.

And my Figure of the year for sure.

Once again Fanstoys has nailed another figure!! Thomas is the best looking astrotrain that I have seen and so glad that I picked one up on preorder. The paint app is phenomenal, the grey just look breathtaking. Articulation is good and transformation is a little tricky but worth it to have a G1 accurate look in all three modes. The track accessory that was included is a nice touch to be able to display Thomas on both alt modes.

this is astrotrain, all three modes are amazing, for the lucky ones like myself that got this figure, wow...... hope for the rest of the fans there's a reissue,cause again speechless about this figure

Theres something to be said for a big, heavy, well engineered masterpiece scale figure, thats screen accurate to boot.

The bad:
- In typical Fans Toys fashion the joints are SUPER tight out of the box; a lot of joints give a heart attack inducing 'pop' the first time they move...constant fear that you just broke your brand new, expensive, figure.
- Mine came with a mild oil-like coating in some places, wasnt expecting to see that out of the box...maybe some kind of lubricant for the tight joints? Never had that before on a FT figure.
- In robot mode there are some flaps and pieces that are supposed to peg in but the peg holes are slightly too large and they dont tab together nicely, so the pieces have a tendency to flop around a bit.
- I think either FT or the distributors missed the mark on anticipation of sales; these sold out almost immediately, and its really not fair for hard core fans to be left to the wolves (scalpers) in hopes of getting this superb figure.

The good:
- The engineering that went into this figure to NAIL all 3 modes of a (lets be honest) poorly animated almost 40 year old cartoon, and still be screen accurate...all i can say is bravo!
- Hes LOADED with diecast...he weighs over a pound, certainly has the heft you would expect for the price tag.
- The added chest piece for the option to make the figure more G1 toy accurate was a very nice touch, albeit parts forming. The multiple function of the display stand was a very nice touch as well.

Hes expensive, but in this case you're absolutely getting what you pay for. There hasnt been an Astrotrain released yet that even comes close to what this brings to the table. Fans Toys hits another home run. Keep'em coming! Highly recommended, 5 stars.
