Great quality. Nice chrome gold that shines on the shelf. Clean look. Looks great in both modes. Easy to transform.

I do like the light metal color and accessories even if the extra fix pieces for Sever that came with Stomp don't quite match. Solid much like the first Iron Dibot I purchased, FT-07. I do think this lighter metalic plastic should be the standard deco for these figures as it stands out far more than the flat grey. Some people online complain that the robot faces look stupid but they are sunbow-accurate and I found the faces on the original diaclone-based toys kind of generic and non-sentient looking, so I'm not sure what those folks were hoping for accuracy-wise. His expression is slightly more intelligent than Stomp (Sludge) which is cartoon and fiction accurate! I love how the energy sword is an entirely different weapon than the giant broadsword that came with Stomp. Now the bad: The electronics in neither weapon work. Your results may well vary and I had no such trouble with my first fanstoys purchase: I transferred the batteries from my Stomp's rifle to test in both weapons and could get neither one to light no matter how I oriented them. it might be because the battery chambers are slightly larger and have trouble making contact, but it isn't quite big enough to fit three of the battery type mentioned in the instructions so I'm at a loss here. There was a small issue with the figure itself in that one of the chromed pieces to hide the screws slid out when I removed the figure from the styrofoam but that's a very easy fix- I was just relieved it did not snap off from somewhere. Nice use of tranlucent plastic over chrome mechanical details as in the original toys-a design element that I think helped make them so iconic and beloved.

I waited an extra 4 months for this limited version to be released. I love the silver paint and the extra paint apps on this X versions. I'm grateful and surprised to find out they include blue eye replacements for Dino and bot modes! It also comes with a numbered card that shows the number of your figure between 1-1000.
My only concerns are.
1. Will there be an X version of stomp for my collection?
2. Will fanstoys make silver painted replacement panels for the gap in the Dino chest like they are making for the regular version?
