Great set from fansproject, good plastic, a decent amount of complexity and the mini vehicles definitely work as little machines for the drivers

waist breaks when you transform it no matter what you do. Looks good in robot mode. fansproject has a new waist fix/ replacement, but i have had no luck in finding.

Adding this to my Diaclone collection. I haven't had any trouble with mine. As part of the transformation you can actually extend the shins to make him almost 9.5/10 inches and it doesn't look wrong to me.
The look is fantastic with translucency (blue) plastic and chrome all in the right places.
Drop by the Fansproject store to get the $14 shield and grand vehicle combine piece. This is the same shield included with DAI-Z WB007 but a different shade of blue. Apparently the designers didn't think to combine it originally but turned out hot! Check Trianix sheld out on the FP site.
In combined robot mode, his articulation and look is fabulous. He is ratched properly in all the important joints, but would of like the elbows to get some; only because I like ratchets.
If you like this bot, pick up WB007, DAI-Z, with heavy retool. Don't like or care the character? Change out his chest piece with a solinoid of your choice and forget about it by throwing him your Diaclone army.
Some of Fansprojects best work to date.

This is the third toy that I've gotten from Fansproject and I must say that difficult and/or poorly executed transformations seems to be the prevailing theme of their products. This toy looks great/good in all its modes and has a sturdy and well articulated robot mode but transforming this thing is a nightmare. To loose or having no connectors at all in some areas and firmly connecting way to much in other areas. You will absolutely break this toy trying to transform it if you are not very careful and may even break it regardless. I personally ripped one of this things legs off trying to detach the chest part from the waist/legs part and snapped off one of the prongs from a plug connector trying to snap it into place. Even worse is the fact that the damaged leg part on mine is normally attached in such a way that fixing it whilst maintaining full articulation will be very difficult if not impossible.
The only reason I'm not giving this thing 1 star is because it does have a very nice robot mode and decent enough alt modes, however the poor construction really does kill its value. If you are a person like me that likes to "play" with their toys every now and then, stay far away from this thing and maybe everything else from Fansproject. If you are just looking for a nice display piece that you'll never transform or only transform once then by all means get this at some point.
