Volar is the last FansProject dinobot missing from my collection, and now i have it!! It's sleek and light (a Pterodactyl can't be heavy!), but solid and cool. Transformation is nice, and Velos as weapon is amazing!! Amazing Dinobot, nice accessories (especially the sword), and Volar who complete all. A must buy for any Swoop fan imho. 5/5 Stars.

Volar is my first non Hasbro Transformer and he is absolutely brilliant. Everything about him goes above my expectations. The color and detail is amazing. Swoop was always one of my favorite figures as a kid and Fansproject delivers the best version of him ever. Every minor detail is covered, his sword is amazing and even the little bot he comes with has magnets in his feet for riding on his back in dinosaur form. Highly recommend.

Well what can i say about this fella.. One the little guy that turns into his gun/axe.. WoW .. I love him.. Now on to the big guy.,. I love his size and weight ,. only draw back is the stability of the thighs .. with the red body .. now with the blue things are more stable he can sit in alot of pose's for the camera.. all in all a well worth it figure to me .,

I haven't even TRANSFORMED this guy into robot mode yet...and he is AMAZING...!!! His dino-mode alone makes him well-worth the price...I can not recommend him higher. I already LOVE this guy...and he looks TERRIFIC with Planet X's version of Grimlock. Awesome Dinobots...!!!

Like motorcycle transformers, anything that's got a delicate, sleek alt mode is prone to be a challenge to design. Volar is a very gorgeous toy. But his joints, pegs, tabs and rachets are loose, floppy and nearly impossible to keep in place.
Once you've secured one part, the legs are flopping apart, and the shoulders are flopping the wrong way, and half the chest is flopping to one side, and the wings just flop.. and everything just flops and flops like a bean bag.
That and Volar is nearly impossible to stand.
I bought Volar because he looks great in both modes. His sleek yet powerful shape is everything I wanted G1 Swoop to be. His transformation is very clever and there isn't a trace of kibble (an awesome pair of wings is not kibble in any mode) but he flops. He's so floppy he could be a wind chime. I will likely be coating every joint on his body in some kind of anti-flop ointment if such a substance exists.
Happy flopping, everyone!

Guys and gals, I gotta tell ya. The fansproject dinobot line is hands down my favorite. Awesome in detail and design. The fact they are in a sense targetmasters with their partners is just sweet. Volar is just dynamic with his wingspan and Posability. His details are Well done. Applauds all around. Can't Wait for the next one I'm all over it.

I just received my volar, and i'm almost worried that fansproject can't keep this up. I have volar, cubrar, and columpio.
Volar's wings are much larger than i anticipated. Plus the transformation is better than i expected. It's not perfect and slightly different compared to the bulk of the other two figures out this far.

I'll start off saying that I'm a big FP fan, but I feel like their Lost Exo Realm line isn't as good as some of their other stuff. Transformations are a bit too easy, and yet, the parts have to be lined up juuuuuussst right to make things work.
That said, Volar's probably my favorite so far. He's incredibly posable, though he does suffer from the difficulty standing in alt mode than any figure with tiny feet would have. Both modes are incredibly detailed and cool, and his weapon minicon is the best one. If you like FP or want some cool dinobots that aren't just slavish G1 designs, go with this guy.
Also, swap that torso! It's not difficult, and the blue really looks a lot cooler than the red, IMO.
