I completely regret purchasing this add on kit. I watched a review before I bought this and liked what I saw. I purchased the kit after I watched the video, however that video misinterpreted my expectations for the kit. The hands I saw in the video slid over the original hands. It looked like a much more solid fit. The hands I received make you remove the original hands. These new hands are absolutely garbage. They hardly tab in and fall off with the slightest touch. I honestly cant believe the crappy quality from the hands. Everything else on this kit is solid but the hands completely ruin the kit. I made an account to review this add on kit and hope to deter other people who are interested in buying this. Please save your money and frustration. This is my first and last fansproject kit.

For the most part, I like how this kit fills out Optimus. With the exception of the hands. They don’t connect very securely and they look like bricks so that’s a downer. Apparently I received the upgraded parts and wow, they are horrible. I attempted to reach out to the manufacturer a couple times to see if I could get the old version of the hands, but they never responded. Frankly, it’s disappointing enough where I wouldn’t have bought it the kit.

A very nice upgrade to Classics Prime. The only issues I have are that the arm pieces require you to disassemble and remove his original fists (which is very simple though), and that there's no integration of his original weapons. Still, the armor really adds some muscle to the figure, and the fact that it doesn't need to be removed for transformation is really impressive.

I've had the Classics Optimus Prime figure for over 10 years & it's certainly stood the test of time, but what this upgrade brings...Wow! I love how both modes look & the fact that this upgrade never needs to be removed even for transformation, unless you want to, which you still can. All in all, this upgrade is Aces, if you've got a Classics Prime, Ultra Magnus or Magnus Convoy you should definitely check out this set or 07, you won't be disappointed!
