This lil guy fits the build for only being $10. Would have gave it 5 stars, but it seems they could have done a little more with arm, leg, and maybe the head when it comes to articulation.

It’s really a shame they didn’t give this little dude a 5mm port so other Rodimi could hold it.

As badass as Protector is, this is the perfect partner.

I dig this figure, but I have a few minor complaints. I liked the transformation, but it doesn't really lock into place firmly. I wish the smaller peg grip were longer; to place the gun in Hot Rod's hand. I realize this figure was primarily intended for use the Rodimus upgrade kit, but why include the second peg if it doesn't work properly; you have to tweak the position so it looks like his wrist is broken. I'm currently using this for my Titans Return Hot Rod and am pleased overall with my purchase.

Reminds me of a targetmaster weapon used in the G1 era or transformers

this is my first custom toy and i love it i keep the chormed bits in it bag the toy itself is great fit all dark of the moon and beat wars rattrap and most other beast wars toy great start up kit for first time custom buyers

For those of us who bought the Battle in Space two/three pack, Hot Rod now has his own Target Master to contend with Cyclonus and NightStick. SideArm of course blows NightStick out of the water and is a great buy. The bonus Chrome spoilers can also be attached to Hot Rod to give him more flare. too bad Dumb Ol' Rodimus (Classics/Henki/BiS) has the articulation of my 90 year old Grandma, but SideArm can be equipped on any number of Autobot/Decepticon figures from the line as well!

If you already purchased the Protector set, go ahead and do yourself a favor and get this guy too. He becomes a crossbow, gun, and can man the battle station or tank mode of the trailer. If you have the Heinkei version of Rodimus they included the gold attachment points to match.

Well for the price, it sells itself!. Great little addition to any transformer continuity line. Best fits with the G1's personally. Additional pieces allow you to create a wicked little gadget that looks like a Shield or a Crossbow.Plus its a bonus add on to the already popular TFX-04 Protector Trailer Add-on kit for Hotrod.

G1 accurate to hot rod's target master and in gun mode it fits into most deluxe figures like universe prowl or generations soundwave.If you want a nice little fansproject toy then thsi is a wonderful addition to your collection
