Madlaw is certainly a figure that, especially if you like six changers, you need to get. A couple of his modes aren't perfect, but every one is very impressive. The large guns that he comes packaged with seem sort of ridiculous with the character's size, but his smaller guns fix that issue easily. He's a good size in robot mode as well, looking down on most voyager classes.

I have no attachment to the original Quickswitch character or toy, but this figure blew me away.
I'll go through each mode:
Plane mode-a wide but convincing sci-fi flying vehicle
Forest beast "cougar" mode- evocative of a tiger or puma, but has a very alien look to the head with a skeletal/alien vibe that I really like.
Drill tank mode-figure folds up and locks into a square in a very fun way. No little wheels to roll along, but a nice solid land vehicle.
Pistol mode-I just wish the little gatling guns that flip out in this mode were useable in any other mode. Very cool for messing around in the office.
Boat mode-probably the least convincing. The front looks like a boat, at least. five out of six isn't bad...
Robot mode- 8" tall, good poseability but no hand twist. Incredible head sculpt and paint app. Probably the best face I've seen on a third party figure, robotic and angular but "thoughtful" looking. Flip down his visor with a switch or look at his dreamy blue eyes.
Comes with four handheld weapons-two small pistols and two huge rifles.Pistols can store on his hips. If I were to complain about one thing, the rifles are a too big. They're just too much gun for him in really any mode. A wonderful suprise for a figure I got just to diversify my shelf-Get it while it lasts because he's well worth it for the robot mode alone, leaving aside his repertoire of transformation.

While M.A.D.L.A.W. has gotten a few negative reviews, and there are a few issues with fit and finish, this six-changer from FansProject is sheer fun, and great 'hand candy' for those who enjoy multiple transformations. Are a couple of the transformations a bit of a reach? Sure. But there are plenty of other transformations you can discover, and all kinds of pleasant surprises and details. It's very well made, sturdy and lavishly articulated like most FansProject items.

I was kind of unsure when I ordered this guy and was pleasantly surprised when he arrived but, i feel his robot mode and drill machine modes were my favorites. Sadly I was let down by the wolf and gun modes.. the wolves head sculpt could have looked more like a wolf and the pistol i felt looked like a fan created mode more than a actual planned and designed altmode. However he is a six changer im sure there not easy to design. And I was overall happy with him

While not my favorite Fansproject figure, this guy is as solid as everything else from this great 3rd party company. Some of the alt modes are a little weaker, but hey, it's a six-changer, what can you expect? That said, it's fun changing him from one form to the next, and his minor posability flaws are made up for by the versatility of the figure. Definitely worth grabbing.

I will admit I love Fansproject, so I may be biased, but they have really outdone themselves with this one! The transformations are fun and look great for the most part. complex enough but not scary or confusing to transform. Just awesome, one of my favorites ever!
