I'm a bit of a Chromedome fan, not at all thanks to the American G1 cartoon, where he was just there and had 1 line. No, I'm a fan thanks to the wonderful Japanese Headmasters cartoon. I already had the black and red "Virus" version, so I had to pick this one up as well.

This is a really nice figure. The plastic is high quality and the colors look great. Size wise, the car is slightly smaller than the Titans Return Chromedome, but the robot stands about a head taller. So, that means he compacts really nicely when he transforms. Also, the transformation itself is nice and smooth. And, unlike the Titans Return figure, his hood does become his chest, rather than having a fake out chest piece. And, in a nice nod to the G1 toy, his guns can peg onto the back of his car mode.

So, bottom line, this is a great figure and Fansproject did a wonderful job. If you collect CHUG scale (like I do) he's a nice addition to your collection, as he's a bit taller than a Deluxe class but not quite Voyager class. So, he will fit in nicely.

This guy's OK, having waited till after FP's mind wipe and skullcruncher were in my collection I can see the improvements they've made on their headmasters, but he is a good none kids toy piece to have
