He is big, bulky, full of tight joints and ratchets! transformation is easy; be careful with the claws on these guys because they are sharp...robot mode is intimidating and beast mode is....well need I say more?! I had him and G1 repugnus as a kid so I'm reliving 1987 again

We probably won't ever get Monster bots again and I for one am really happy with this line.

Grotusque was one of my favorite G1 toys and this one helped me revive the experience as an adult collector. Is a bit different from the original in the sense that looks more like a Gargoyle than a Winged Saber tooth, but it is still impressive. My only complain is that is not as tall as my "Iron Dibots", but is quite a monster. Highly recommended if you like G1 bulky bots.

Firstly, I'd like to say, that other then vaguely knowing about the Monster Bots from G1, I never really considered going all in for the price on these. However, after watching every review available, and considering every angle, I decided to move forward with adding these to my MP Collection.
Upon opening the box, the first thing that stood out to me was the weight of the figure in hand. This thing has some legit weight. The joints are tight, the G1 asthetic is there, and the articulation and sculpt are incredible. He has that girth, that size, that screams Monster Squad. If you had a 3 Bot team, that were basically the Expendables of Transformers, who got sent in when no one else would dare, to kick butt and take names, It would be this trifecta of Buff Bots, these Hulks of Metal. Awesome to hold in hand.
