It is definitely a pain to get the hands installed! There is a screw you can't really get to and I wound up just taking the whole arm off to make it easier to work with. Even after you get the arms apart the, hands won't fit unless you file them down to get the clearance you need.
But, after it was,all said and done I was pleased with the results. I almost wish there was another cap for the back of the cannon to really give it the G1 look, but all in all it was worth it. I really don't think the feet are stupid big. They give the figure far more stability.

Recently tried out this upgrade kit. Easy to install. Glad it came with a screwdriver / shoe horn for Megs upgrade armored foot attire. Pretty big shoes to fill for four stars.

I got this recently. Megatron looks significantly better. In reviews I had doubts, but most reviews show Megatron at eye level. I display mine at slightly above eye level, so the feet really look good from this perspective.
The best part of the kit is shin guards, those are worth the price alone.
The hands are a very nice touch, but they are tricky to install. I unscrewed the forearm screen without removing the pin but putting the screw driver through the peg hole on the turret and unscrewing at an angle.
Anyways, good kit for just the shin guards alone imo.

PROS: affordable price, the plastic is great quality, the joints are tight and the application is fairly simple. The upgrade really adds to the robot mode; the ankle portion of the upgrade is worth the money by itself; also having the cannon is a nice addition( no megatron without no cannon)
CONS: the hand are too involved to add on(at no fault to DX9), the feet are too big when you add them in robot mode; he actually looks good with out the feet because they do help balance him but it makes him very unproportion with the rest of his body. in tank mode the only add on that is cool to attach is the cannon; add the feet and ankle clamps if you want but to me it does not do anything for the figure; also no instructions; just pictures on the back
OVERALL: please do not let the cons keep you from getting the upgrade kit! I'm still glad I got it because it make the robot figure look even more like Megatron; keep in mind he transforms into a "tank" so really no extra attachments are needed in tank mode; enjoy the options the kit gives and remember to have fun!

Just got this set and attached the pieces to Megatron. The muzzle, shoulder cannon, feet, and (not listed here) calf guards all attach perfectly. The monumental problem is installing the upgraded hands. Removing the 2 screws underneath the forearm flap is a nightmare to begin with, but then sliding the wrist into the slot is virtually impossible because the measurements are off and the underside of the wrist joint has to be heavily sanded down to fit it into the joint opening. Once that is done, trying to screw everything back in place is even more difficult that it was getting it apart. All things considered, you might want to just forget the hand upgrades and attach everything else.
