An outstanding price for a 3rd party figure!!!!

This is a really enjoyable figure. The concept of coming with no instructions so that you have to open it up and play to transform it is cool. I like that I was able to figure out how to get him into all 3 modes. Of course, the transformations weren't difficult because of the Open and Play concept. All 3 modes look good, but the robot mode is the best. I think he's actually one of the best looking MP scaled Springers out there.

Love both alt modes, and his robot mode it great too, just not a big fan of his face sculpt, other than that 5 stars. I would complain about little to no die-cast metal, but with a low price, I don't care as much. Definitely worth it if you like Springer, but don't want to break tge bank.

This is a great MP Springer, my only problems are that the wind shield is a bit hard to expand, the materials feel really light, and the lack of instructions, other than that great figure

It’s a good figure. Scaled good. No instructions.

The cheapest MP scale Springer you can get and he looks great. My only complaint is the chest section comes untabbed easily, but great articulation and cool "space-saving" vehicle modes.

I bought this guy as a stand in as my MP Springer expecting not to like him very much but when I got him I couldn't put him down. The figure is not perfect ,especially the face. The face is not good but it doesn't bother me too much. The rest of the figure is really good and I prefer the alt modes on this figure to the one on the fans toys figure. Overall hes good but the robot mode needs work.

BigSpring is a really good figure at a really good price. The robot mode is great, unique in that it looks more muscular, while other Springers look more chubby. He has a good weight, and fantastic posability. The car mode and Helicopter mode are similar looking, but the difference in Transformation between the two sets them apart fairly nicely, and even with the dumpy proportions the two modes share, they are each fun to play around with.
The main reason I love BigSpring so much is because he's so playable, sturdy and durable. A lot of people say that the MP Transformers are only for display. I disagree, in fact, the reason I collect MP and 3P is because I find them so fun to play around with. BigSpring encourages play, which breaks both a stereotype of collector-level figures, as well as a mindset. If it weren’t for the notation that MPs can’t be played with, Takara would be getting significantly less slack for it’s bad backsides, and more people would be criticizing FansToy’s fragile engineering. Although this figure has some flaws, like its chest tab, and the face sculpt, OpenPlay BigSpring is truly a unique, different 3P transformer experience, and I would definitely recommend him. I would like to see OpenPlay continue this idea of “playable MPs,†but unfortunately, they seem to be fading out.

A cool take on Springer. Figure feels solid. No instructions but going to alt mode is not that hard. People complain about the face, I agree but it is fine for me.

This KO Springer has fun transformations, great poseability and looks quite toon accurate in all three forms. I especially like the windshield that expands from helicopter to car. It's a solid figure, but a bit lighter than similarly sized MP figures. Got this on sale and now that I've played with it a bit, I can say confidently that it was a steal!

The figure had great joints not likely to have paint chipping because of minimal paint the only things is that bo instructions and the chest doesn't tab very well

I'm really glad I got this figure. There is no other option that I was interested in and at the price I couldn't let it go.

I'm going to be completely honest; this is NOT a bad version of Springer. I will discuss each mode
MODE 1-ROBOT: ratchet knees and shoulders and thighs; low on plastic detail but smooth defined paint(no smears). The face could use a little more detail but joint articulation is great; very posable figure. MODE 2-CAR: yes it is a lil stumpy but it is a good looking care mode! its not overextended like FT and not a big as unique toys allen(which I own also) but is just right in size and resembles the g1 cartoon. MODE 3-CHOPER: the tail fin does not extend very far and it makes the helicopter mode look stumpy too but yes I is a good looking helicopter because in has all the elements of the g1 cartoon even down to the yellow skids. I love how the windshield collapses in copter mode to show size changes during transformation. also the hidden wheels can still be used for landing gear. The green panels on his side don't quite peg in but not a big deal..i love the blade; he comes with a sword holder for his back; the projectile accessory is plain but the transformation is fun and slightly tricky with the legs but once you get it you will love it. I took off a star due to the lack of plastic detail on the figure as a whole. The transition from mode to mode is not complicated at all; you just have to remember to flip the side panels on the chest. Overall I am glad I bought him and he is just fun to transform; he is not brittle or cheap; the plastic is of great quality; add him to your collection. This makes my 3rd not Springer!

I'm almost happy with the purchase. Everything is fine, but there is no instruction for transformation in the box, the blessing is on YouTube.

This is exactly what I'd hoped Unique Toys Allen would be. Big Spring is just the right size and has excellent tolerances. Whether you like the aesthetics of the figure or not is up to you. But he's not meant to be a show piece, he's meant to be fiddled with. The transformation feels FUN, which is I think what they were exactly striving for and succeeded at.
I love how satisfyingly things plug in, especially the snaps on the mid-thigh pieces. I love how chubby and charming the car mode is, and how the wheels still work for copter mode. I love how kibbleless the robot is. And I love that, due to the main body remaining the same in both alt modes, you can mess with the placements and get Super Compact Kawaii Car Mode!
There's a few problems though. A couple of tabs need tightening. Most egregiously, the 'belt buckle' in robot mode, plus the green flaps at the back of the alt mode. And it took me a while to realize that the copter mode cockpit will only sit flush if you straighten the middle windshield section and feed it backwards through the hole. Also, let's be honest, it's a shame when the head on the box looks a LOT better than the one sculpted for the toy. It's not a bad face, but it's bland. It is detachable though, so maybe someone will make a replacement.
Bottom line, I care more about transformation than looks and Big Spring is perfect for me. Might not be for you. But I am absolutely eager to see what this company will make in the future.

I'm really enjoying this Springer! The plastic feels high quality enough- but still like a toy.
The transformation is easy and fun to figure out (no instructions is this company's thing). Just a hint, the shoulders are on rails and you can slide them down the torso for car mode.
Great value, I would absolutely buy an open & play figure again. The only nit-pick I can stretch for is the face sculpt is a tad plain.
