Be aware, the reissue has translucent parts, which is not in the description. I don't know why they did this. Makes the whole figure seem odd. No problems otherwise, but disappointed that they made this offputting change.

Beautiful & fun figure. Worth having in beast wars collection

Great figure. good scult, light, balances well standing and in a number of poses, and even comes with a stand for poses that allow the figure to "fly".

havent got anything negative to say about the figure at all. I was suprised however that the figure was the variant version with the semi transluscent purple plastic instead of the more show accurate brown as advertised in the pictures. All a reference to an Older collectible figure of course, but still was a surprise when opening the box.
(felt kind of like finding a rare shiny pokemon in a way.)

all the extra parts are great, made of a soft sturdy plastic for special effects and such.

figure looks great on the shelf with other characters in the collection- bigger- than i realized too.

looking forward to being able to soon be able to put the tm Megatron alongside it.

all in all a great figure and a great purchase.

The figure itself is great. Good size, great transformation, it feels like a modern retool of the original Primal. However, there were some loose pieces in the box when I opened mine, and the paint on the robot mode chest was a little scuffed. Still great overall.

I still have the original Transmetal Optimus Prime, and this enhances the original in every way. Size, sculpting quality, accuracy and poseability. Be warned, you have to press the joint buttons on the Stand to bend them (i broke one by accident), but that's just the stand to keep him elevated in Surfboard mode, which looks amazing with the propulsion add-ons. I hope they tackle Transmetal Megatron next!

Okay, i absolutely love this figure. He's such a masterful update of the original figure. The transformation is surprisingly simple, but he has great articulation and all of the modes just look beautiful!

Beast Wars is such a great show and Optimus Primal is a really interesting character. This represents what is my least favorite of his 3 modes, his original Transmetal "upgrade." But, least favorite doesn't mean I don't like it.

The figure itself is absolutely fantastic. As I understand it, this is basically a "knockoff" upscale of the official toy, but it's one that shows that KO upscales can be great. Being an upscale of an official figure, he's got a relatively easy transformation, which I don't mind at all. It only takes a few steps to get him into shiny blue gorilla mode and a few more to get him into hover board gorilla mode. Speaking of blue, that chrome blue is absolutely luscious. I swear it's half the reason I bought the figure. He comes with a slew of accessories. He's got a stand, all of his weapons, blast affects, a cloth for wiping fingerprints off of the blue chrome and 2 extra faces for each head. Though, I still haven't figured out how to change those and the instructions don’t acknowledge them at all.

So, add it all up and this guy is a 5 out of 5 any day. He's big and blue, silver and purple, so what's not to love?

This is a very nice and solid update to the old Transmetal figure. It doesn't completely reimagine the toy, it just gives it some much needed functionality, like swappable faces and some minor articulation improvements, like a turning head. I agree that the plastic overall is light, but the toy itself is solid and a lot of fun.

We had the Perfect Effect Optimal Optimus, and the official masterpiece Optimus Primal, and for a long time it seemed like that was going to be it, then word of this was announced and I preordered immediately.

The Bad:
- Its all light weight plastic. Dont get me wrong, it doesn't feel brittle or cheap, but it doesnt have much heft to it.
- While true to the show half the figure is covered in bright blue chrome. Anyone who's collected Beast Wars era figures knows what happens to chrome'd plastic parts over time. I'm concerned this figure will not be spared that fate.
- It's basically an upsized Beast Wars Transmetal Optimus, aside from some more articulation in the limbs and fingers theres really not much change to the engineering..but again, does it really need any?
- IMO its just slightly too big; he's too big compared to the original mode, and hes not that much shorter than Perfect Effect offering.

The Good:
- Having all 3 original Primal modes represented is just, Wow. For any die-hard fans all we're missing is the Beast Machines mode, whatever your opinions may be on that show.
- Despite being light weight plastic everything is made well, nothing feels like its going to break.
- He comes with a ton of accessories, the blast effects, a flight stand, and the option to use the original toy face is a nice touch.
- He comes with a microfiber cloth to keep the chrome looking sharp and polished.

Extremely pleased with this offering from this new-comer company. They started off with a modest figure and did a great job with it, hopefully we'll get to see more. Bring on transmetal Megatron!

So first off. If I could have rated a 1/2 star. This would be 4.5 stars.

Beast Wars Transmetals was an era where Hasbro did pretty much everything right, with a few exceptions.
That being said. I like the chest design, and waist of the original Hasbro toy over this one.
Also the orange spray on the chest was pretty uneven on mine.
I wish there was also a place to plug in the gun on the waist like the original Hasbro design. I know that might have been difficult with the battery operated light up effects for this one.
So yeah... 4.5 stars.

Great figure. Scales nicely with the MP line. Comes with a great selection of faces (for both bot and monkey), blaster effects and the stand parapheniala is well thought out. This was my first TransArt figure but I will be ordering more for sure. Here's hoping they continue down the transmetal path of the main series.
