Very pleased with the figure great work giys

Overall - thoroughly impressed with this. Love the transformation and the look, and the detail for a small-scale figure. Just looks good in both forms. And I love the "cassettes" and what they were able to do with that small a transformer.

Only big complaint was with the rumble/frenzy figure. For the life of me, I could not get the pistons to peg and stay on. And after a couple transformations, his arm just clean broke - really flimsy connection. So that was super disappointing.

If not for that, would be 5/5 stars.

What a treat this Soundwave is!!! I can't believe the transformability and how poseable this figure is for such a small figure. It's the PERFECT size to have on my desk at work. The the cassettes are equally as impressive and fun to make little battle scenes with. I've already ordered 3 more figures from the line.

Really nice G1 style figure with excellent details, paint and materials. It feels high quality in hand and has good heft. The transformation feels good and everything snaps perfectly together. The tapes are okay. However, considering how tiny they are the engineering is impressive. The magnet gimmick is a really nice touch.

This figure is great! I love and appreciate how Newage was able to make this figure so detailed and show accurate with how small it is. Posing him and two of his cassettes are a blast, it's so much fun!

Unfortunately, there are flaws. The right arm is unusually loose compared to the left arm, the transformation is kind of a mess and it seems like one part in the leg breaks a little more every time I transform him. I also wish the replaceable hands were handled better, it's a pain to get the hands out and in and I'm afraid of breaking either the hands or the arms every time I change hands.

The worst part of this whole thing though is Rumble/Frenzy. Attempting to pose him and get him to stay is a nightmare. His piledrivers never fit in to the arms, I know I complained about how Soundwave's replaceable hands were, but I think the piledrivers should have just been replaceable arms.

Overall though, through all of my complaints, I love this figure and it's a very good first step into third party figures. I'm excited to get more.

When I first opened him his paint came of on my fingers but after a day it had stopped.
The mini cons are SO TINY but the quality is amazing lazerbeaks neck and ravages lower legs are very thin and seem fragile but are good quality.
Soundwaves feet are all dicast.
I am having a really hard time finding batteries for his light brick.
His legs have a really fun transformation.

I bought this guy out of purely curiosity. The box it came in was even smaller than I had imagined. Then I took him out and blown away. One of his elbows is a little janky but I have no real complaints! This little figure has huge attitude! Solid, fun to transform, fun to pose. And his cassette minions-- again, so just genuinely impressed. The magnets that allow Laserbeak to sit on the main figure's arm...I seriously have no issues with this figure.

Not expecting anything too fancy when ordering this guy. But. Boy am I impressed! Great transformation. Small cassette minions are just as great. Awesome figure.

Overall a pretty impressive. I'm not a Legends collector but wanted to try this out before deciding on NewAge's Shockwave.
Pros: Looks amazing for the size. Great Masterpiece scale-worthy sculpt, painted details, and posability on Soundwave (less so on the cassettes). Transformation is intuitive enough. Neat magnet gimmick for Laserbeak.
Cons: The minions don't look like cassettes at all, but I keep them in bot/bird/cat mode. One arm suffers from a loose shoulder and elbow, but the other limbs are good. No included stand(s) (like with the seekers). You have to buy at least Soundblaster too to get the other three main tapes.

Another MP engineering in a small package.

Pros: Affordable. Fun to transform with a moderate level of complexity. For a small figure, the details are on point and poseability is plenty. The three tapes also look good and transformation is basic. The weapons can be stored in alt mode. Interchangeable hands is a plus.

Cons: Step 7 should have pointed out the waist/skirt portion and hips/hip joint portion are rotated separately. My copy has a loose right forearm. Color is borderline navy blue (which is black). No battery for the chest effect piece (and what was that clear rubbery thing it came separately packed in with?)

Recommendation: Reissue in less darker blue. I wouldn't mind paying extra if they added Ratbat and Frenzy.

I love this Scaramanga figure. I can't believe the quality and detail on such a small figure. The die cast pieces are an excellent touch. The paint quality is excellent as well. I'll be picking up more figures from New Age

I removed one star for two reasons:
1) Instructions were a bit unclear on the legs and feet bits, some trial and error is involved.
2) The cassettes don't really look like cassettes at this scale.
Yes, that second one is fairly nit-picky and petty. Other than those two gripes, there is no other fault I can find here. NewAge have done it again! If you are looking for masterpiece quality in design and engineering but in a much smaller sale and more affordable price, you'd be hard pressed to find some thing better than NewAge's line of figures. Scaramanga transforms interestingly and effectively into a small tape deck and his little cassette partners are truly impressive at this scale. Some of the peg holes are a bit tight, but I expect those will loosen a bit with use. Very poseable and fun to transform. Highly recommended.
