This is a good option and a bang for your buck if you cannot afford the 199.99 version from FT. He looks awesome on my G1 shelf . I appreciate the tons of accessories, for me I will not use. I have no QC issues but your mileage may vary.

Super solid. You won't be disappointed with this guy. And the accessories are on point

This was my first x-transbots toy and I chose him over the FT 2.0 version because I just really love the way he looks and all of the fun accessories. Unboxing him did not disappoint. He's beautiful and super heavy. Feels like he might be 50%+ die cast. However, when I transformed him into microscope mode I decided not to try tank mode as I heard it had issues. Unfortunately I broke his left arm off where the shoulder connects to the body. (it needs to be pushed out from behind). However, XTB responded to my email and got the part I needed out to me right away. I have fixed him and am enjoying him on my desk as I write this. Haven't tried tank mode yet. Microscope mode is good but the legs could be much better as far as transformation and stability. I love transforming my bots but will enjoy having this dude even if he never leaves bot mode again.

This figure really captures the best and worst of XTB. Great looking figure, great accessories, definitely looks and feels the part. It also has an over complicated transformation that makes you nervous, some very avoidable QC and tolerance issues that prevent this from being a homerun.
I apparently got lucky - thigh separates a bit and the shoulder cannon sits fine but not perfect, but I haven't had the breakage or QC issues reported by many. That being said, it's price point compared to the competition makes this a good value.
With some common sense QC checks, this could be a 5 star figure. Unfortunate that you still have to gamble with XTB figures.

I haven't had any of the QC issues that some others are reporting. Everything pegs in nicely and there's been no paint chipping nor scuffing at all. I've no interest in utilizing the so-called "tank mode", and honestly, neither should you, as I've heard that the bits that peg into the shins are too tight and too fragile.
-Janssen is a heavy metal brick. He's got a great heft and seems perfectly solid(at least mine does).
-Articulation is top notch, with a few nice extras that you probably wouldn't think about if they weren't there, like the butterfly joints in the shoulders and the wrist bend(neither of which are engineered that way due to transformation mechanics).
-Obviously, he's packed with accessories, and this is the first time I've felt the need to not file them away. I like having the tiny bots to display on another shelf.
-Great paint and vibrant colors.
My only nitpick is those weird thumbs, which have no rotation at the base, only a swivel. It's very strange, as he simply cannot make a genuine fist. A simple ball joint would've done the trick, so I've no idea what XTB was thinking. It's still not enough to knock off a star, however.

xtransbots hit a home run with this guy! he has good heft to him due to all the dicast, the paint is well coated, and the joints are ratcheted. Be careful with the plastic clips in the back; they are not fragile, but they are small pieces of plastic working with metal; the scope portion of the trans. is the only part that maybe tricky but if you examine how it fits in there before you take it out you will be JUST FINE; also, plenty of videos on the transformation on youtube; the weapon accessories are great and the little figures are Godsents for your cities. He is well worth the price so please pick him up!

I've always been cautious about X-Transbots, but took a chance with Janssen. This is a great figure! Feels nice in hand with plenty of die-cast. Paint and sculpt give it great presence on my shelf and the price is right where it needs to be. Transformation could be better, some parts have a weaker plastic than others so be careful. Overall I'm happy with my purchase.

X-Transbots is hit and miss. This is a hit. It's got a load of metal in it, the paint is great and the articulation is very good. The transformation is fairly simple but has some fragile bits, so be careful, but I've switched him back and forth several times now and haven't seen any issues. Just don't force any parts past each other and you'll be fine. Probably my favorite XTB release yet.

This is one of those things where experiences will vary, but my figure was assembled incorrectly. I couldn't figure out why I couldn't transform him into his microscope mode. I was able to get his left arm to transform into the body correctly, but the right side wouldn't go in. I was getting resistance. After several tries, I took a look inside the upper torso.
His upper torso is on a slider so it can collapse down over the lower torso.. The slider is held in place by a pair of screws. The left one on my figure was in straight, but the right one was in at an angle. There was a bit of plastic on the screw from where I'd been trying to force it. Fortunately, another X-Transbots figure I bought came with a small screwdriver. I used said screwdriver to take the upper torso apart so that I could get in there and straighten that screw. Once I did that and I reassembled the figure, it transformed correctly.
The fact that this was assembled by an X-Transbots employee and apparently passed QC at X-Transbots only for me to spend $140 on it and then DO THEIR JOB FOR THEM is why I docked it 2 stars. Otherwise, this would be a 5 star figure for me.
He looks great in both modes and as long as yours is assembled correctly, the transformation isn't bad at all. I love the amount of accessories he comes with. However, the issues mine had have tainted this figure for me. I hope others have a correctly assembled figure and their experiences are better.

Mine right out of the box has red paint chipping off the metal parts. Definitely inferior quality painting. Stick with Fanstoys!

Very impressed with the weight and amount of diecast...the heads anf faces capture every look. And the gimicks that it comes with are great. WORTH WAY MORE IMO. Best bang for your buck
