Box came in great condition. The little dude got here without a scratch. For some reason, though, the instructions show an additional minicon cassette (Laserbeak) so it could be a misprint from a scratched prototype.

Newage has produced a fantastic figure with this mold. Regardless of whichever version you get, their Soundwave figure is a wonderful production.

Sir Soundwave is molded in white and blue plastic with a generous coating of pearlescent-white paint for a beautiful presentation. The figure has a small amount of diecast plastic, largely in the feet and pelvis construction, which greatly help in stability. Articulation is fantastic, including double-jointed elbows, an ab crunch and ankle rockers.

Sir Soundwave comes packaged with three cassette bots in the form of Frenzy, Ravage and Ratbat. All three include an impressive amount of articulation for robots so small, yet do not feel particularly fragile. One of these can be stored inside Sir Soundwave at any given time (although Ratbat has a bit of difficulty in storage due to his head protrusion in Cassette mode).

The only reportable downside with this figure is the included weapons, the shoulder-weapon and handheld weapon (which are interchangeable). The pegs used for these weapons are just a touch too thick to safely peg into any of their intended pegholes, and greatly benefit from a tiny bit of sanding with super-high grade sandpaper to make using them easier and reduce the risk of breakage.

Beyond this, wonderful figure, highly recommended, especially considering Karate Kid is THE best Sir Soundwave figure to presently exist.
